How I approach AI projects
Start with the smallest useful version: can a retrieval pipeline answer real questions from your content? If yes, ship that and iterate. If no, the problem is usually data quality, not model quality.
Evaluation is built in from the start - a test set of real questions measures accuracy before and after every change, so improvements are evidence rather than hope.
